November Goals

October took a turn for our little family. With a shooting outside our door and a break-in that left us scared and without some special items that made up a lot of our home, we decided it was time to move.

With the holidays, the high cost of breaking our lease and no prospects of available spaces, our little family stands still in a new season of wait. Last week, we packed up and moved home with my mom and dad. Rob now makes a two-hour commute to work a few times a week while Norah and I figure out a new normal in this short season of unknowns.

Here is what I do know:

“Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles, the will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31

  • God is faithful in our seasons of wait. {Thank you Norah for being that consist reminder.}
  • Our Father does not waste an opportunity for good. What seems messy now, will soon be used for the glory of His grace and good favor.
  • Living in the freedom of Christ allows us to still feel safe and secure within the unknowns in life.

3 Things October Made Me Thankful For:

Family Time

There is nothing like the familiar warmth of a mama’s arms. I’m so thankful for the people I get to call family and do life with. I adore nieces and nephews running around my feet, the light that fills Norah’s face when grandpa enters the room, and the heart chats only sisters could give. It’s good to be home.

My Marriage

Ladies, I got me a good one. Not just good, but oh so good. The tingle right down to your toes kind of good. When the earth shakes beneath you a little bit and your man not only scoops you up and makes plans for rescue, but also whispers reminders of love, hope, and light you know you’re one of the lucky ones. God’s favor is in what we got.

My waistline may not be happy about this one, but my late night cravings sure are. My little sister started what is now a booming cupcake business which means almost daily she has the most delicious sweets coming out of her kitchen. Oh man, the special deliveries we’ve been getting are just grand.
