We made several phone calls and rejoiced with close friends and family. Rob quickly made arrangements for our flight, accommodations and every other little detail needed to get us to our sweet fast; and that’s just what we did. In a flurry of packing, crying, traveling and praying… we got there as fast as we could.
That Friday Afternoon we became a family of three. Our eyes finally met the face of the one God created with us in mind. The moment we laid eyes on our girl she captured our hearts and changed our lives forever. The three of us were finally home in each other’s presence and nothing would ever be the same again.
We spent two blessed weeks in Kansas meeting our birth family and marveling over every little detail that brought us together. What we thought might be scary and awkward turned into precious time that welcomed us into parenthood perfectly. Every moment spent with our extended birth family was special and sacred. We all stood together in transition full of love for sweet Norah and all changed forever by this call of adoption.
